Writer | Dad | Sandwich gen
Singaporean dad in the middle of the sandwich years, writing about money, family, and life.
I'm in the middle of the sandwich years. Two kids who think money lives inside my wallet, two parents I check in on every week, a wife who knows me better than I know myself, and a home loan that doesn't care about any of it.
By trade I'm a financial planner, which sounds more formal than it feels. The day to day is mostly sitting with people, listening to what they're worried about, and helping them put numbers around it. I started writing because the same questions kept coming up, and because honestly, the answers I needed when I was figuring this out for myself weren't in any brochure.
What you'll find here are notes from those conversations and from my own life.
Ageing parents.
School fees. Retirement.
CPF.
Estate planning.
The money talks couples keep dodging.
If any of this sounds like your season too, I'd be glad to have you reading along.
